Worked there

Four years at Cisco

Cisco is the enterprise networking and collaboration company that acquired Acano in 2016. Alexandros stayed on for four years, first building the Cisco Meeting App used by millions of people, then leading the web front end of Cisco Meeting Management, the tool Fortune 500 customers use to run their video conferencing. Four years of shipping inside a very large engineering organisation, at enterprise quality standards.

Worked there

Built before the acquisition

Acano was a London video conferencing startup. Alexandros engineered the Acano Meeting Client 2.0, a browser based meeting application, from scratch. Cisco then acquired Acano for 700 million dollars, one of the largest technology deals of 2015. If you are building something you eventually intend to sell, he has been on the engineering side of an acquisition at that scale.

His client

UI consultant before Fortinet

Next DLP is a data loss prevention company, later acquired by Fortinet. Alexandros was its UI consultant in the run up to that acquisition. He led the front end work and, with a team of seven developers, set the UI delivery standards, a consistent component library and accessible responsive interfaces for a cybersecurity SaaS product. A second acquisition environment, in a completely different industry from the first.

Founding member and client

On the board, and on the work

Overclockin Studios is a London creative studio producing bespoke visual work for aerospace and deep tech companies. Alexandros is a founding member and sits on its board, working on product and technology strategy, pricing and go to market. Since 2026 he also leads their AI operating systems and business transformation work through Filos Strategy, so this is a live client engagement as well as a board seat.

Works through the platform

Training frontier AI models

Mercor is the platform that matches domain experts to frontier AI labs. Alexandros works through it on model training and evaluation, on four parallel expert contracts, and was promoted from taker to reviewer to writer. It is why his read on what AI can and cannot do yet is current rather than theoretical: he is inside the evaluation loop, not reading about it.

Studied there

MasterTrack in Entrepreneurship

HEC Paris held the number one spot in the Financial Times ranking of European business schools for five consecutive years, from 2019 to 2023, which covers the year Alexandros studied there. He took the MasterTrack in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, the formal counterweight to an engineering career: how ventures are financed, priced and taken to market, rather than how they are built.

Studied there

First Class, best dissertation

Alexandros holds a BSc in Computing from the University of Gloucestershire, graduating with First Class Honours and the best dissertation in the School of Computing. It is where the engineering foundation comes from, before fifteen years of building software that shipped to real users.

Worked together

Sourcing senior tech talent

Witted is a Nordic network of technology consultancies. Alexandros worked with them through Happie Network, his own company, sourcing senior technical talent for Scandinavian IT clients: matching engineers to roles rather than pushing volume. Happie Network was a vetted network of more than 250 senior engineers, product leaders and designers across the Nordics and the EU, where he owned the strategy, the operations and the P&L.
